For Zambians in the USA and countries of extra accreditation (Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama)

BIRTH CERTIFICATE
Registration of birth is compulsory. Birth Certificates are available to any applicant born on or after March 14, 1973 and can be obtained by the applicant applying to the Office of the Registrar General. Birth Certificates are only issued in Zambia. If a Zambian National was born before 14th March, 1973 – please send an email message to [email protected] for guidance.

BIRTH NOTIFICATION
Zambian Nationals are encouraged to register births of their children who are born in the USA and countries of extra accreditation. Send an email message to [email protected].

NATIONAL REGISTRATION CARD (NRC)
A National Registration Card is issued to eligible Zambian nationals aged 16 years and above. NRC can only be applied for and obtained in Zambia, in person.

ZAMBIAN PASSPORT
The Embassy receives applications for Passports. For the procedures, refer to Passport Application.

TRAVEL DOCUMENT OF IDENTITY
The Embassy issues Travel Document of Identity (TDI) to eligible Zambian nationals to travel one way and directly to Zambia in the case of an emergency. For the procedures, refer to Passport Application.

DUAL CITIZENSHIP

DEATH NOTIFICATION
It is recommended that all deaths of Zambian nationals are reported to the Embassy. Send an email message to [email protected].
