COVID-19 Pandemic Notice No. 10, Wednesday, 30 December 2020: Important Consular/Travel Notice

In light of the evolving situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic, the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Washington, D.C. wishes to advise travelers and those planning to visit Zambia for tourism, business or any other undertakings that there has been no change to Zambia’s current visa regime and that all types of travelers are free to visit Zambia. Depending on the travelers’ nationality, he/she may enter Zambia without a visa, obtain the visa on arrival or from a Zambian Mission abroad or apply for an e-Visa.

However, all travelers are required to observe COVID-19 safety and prevention measures prior to their travel, on arrival and during their stay in the country as guided by the Ministry of Health. For instance, tourist and business visitors must be in possession of a negative SARS CoV2 PCR test, conducted within the previous 14 days.

The Zambian Embassy in Washington D.C remains open and continues to issue visas for travelers wishing to obtain them before traveling as well as attend to all other consular services.
