The University of Zambia has officially launched the United States of America UNZA Alumni Relations Foundation in Washington DC. The Government of the District of Columbia through the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Corporations Division issued the Certificate of Registration signed by Superintendent of Corporation Patricia Grays.

Washington D.C., Thursday, 22 October 2020 — The United States says it is proud to stand with Zambia and 31 other countries that have co-sponsored and signed up to the Geneva Consensus Declaration, a global initiative that Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said had thrust focus on better health for women, preservation of life, family and emphasized national sovereignty over legislation.

A-US-based Non-Governmental Organization, Women’s Initiative that Strengthen and Empower (WISE) has set aside 150 secondary school scholarships to underprivileged people in Kaoma District of Western Province in Zambia.WISE Board Member Joanne Bollinger says the scholarship programme will provide continuous access to education from 8th grade through college. She says her organization is in receipt of numerous applicants needing scholarships.
