First Secretary (Tourism) and First Secretary (Press) attended a reading by Namwali Serpell at the Library of Congress. Zambian writer Namwali read selections of her work and participated in a moderated discussion with Laverne Page, Area Specialist in the African and Middle Eastern Division.
Namwali Serpell is the first Zambian to ever win the Caine Prize which she won in 2015 for her short story "The Sack".
