PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA TO BE REPRESENTED BY MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AT THE 78TH SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN NEW YORK

The President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema will be represented by Hon. Stanley K. Kakubo, M.P, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at the 78th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly which is taking place from 18th to 26th September, 2023 in New York.

A U.S. San Francisco, California based company, RD Global, working with a Japanese company, Mera Group Corporation, plans to set up a manufacturing plant of energy renewable products in Zambia in an effort to mitigate the energy deficit in the region. Mera Group Corporation, Business Development Advisor Rune Gunnar Dige says Zambia has been chosen as a preferred choice of investment in the energy sector because of its geographical position among countries in the Southern African region.

U.S Secretary of State Michael Pompeo has congratulated the people of Zambia on the country's 54th independence anniversary. Mr Pompeo has also hailed the bilateral relations between the U.S and Zambia.

Washington D.C., Saturday, 25 September 2021 – Constituency Development Fund (CDF) will be transformed, and each Constituency will operate an annual budget that will take development directly to the people, President Hakainde Hichilema has said.

Washington D.C., 9 January 2020 – Ambassador Lazarous Kapambwe has urged diplomats to safeguard Zambia’s long-standing brand as a peaceful, friendly and dignified nation, stressing that the internationally recognized national credentials were an asset that complemented many national development fronts and agendas.

We should all be climbing on top of our houses, hills and mountains and shouting about it. Zambia is unique and peaceful yet not enough noise is made about it. The noise needs to come from everyone living in Zambia.

The Zambian Mission in the U.S. over the weekend joined forces with Zambians in Chicago to market its tourism potential to Over 30,000 attendees comprising of tour operators, travel agents and potential tourists at the 2018 Chicago Travel and Adventure Show.
