Government To Pilot A Children First Software (CFS) Application

The Government has started piloting a Children First Software (CFS) application that will provide a database of the vulnerable people in the country in order for them to receive support from their households as opposed to being institutionalised in centers. Minister of Community Development and Social Services Emerine Kabanshi says the Government will next year implement the CFS program and share it with other regional countries in an effort to end institutionalisation of the underprivileged people in communities and children on the streets.

WISE Sets Aside 150 Secondary School Scholarships For Kaoma Residents

A-US-based Non-Governmental Organization, Women’s Initiative that Strengthen and Empower (WISE) has set aside 150 secondary school scholarships to underprivileged people in Kaoma District of Western Province in Zambia.WISE Board Member Joanne Bollinger says the scholarship programme will provide continuous access to education from 8th grade through college. She says her organization is in receipt of numerous applicants needing scholarships.

Exhibiting at Carlisle Expo Centre

Diplomats join Colonel Musonda Ntenga in exhibiting at the Carlisle Expo Centre where 70 countries from different parts of the world participated. Colonel Ntenga is currently attending a course at the Army War College in Pennsylvania. Over 800 Residents turned up to sample various cultural dishes as well as to interact with the foreign students and diplomats.

Michael Sakala, 25 together with Wiley College graduate Felix Ekwueme, 25 (founder), officially launched a new mobile application that aims to get users out in the world, sharing memorable experiences with family and friends.
