Washington D.C., Friday, 21st February 2020 – Advisor to United States President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump has announced a new partnership in support of a White House initiative that will expand support to women entrepreneurs with a total of US$10million being made available beginning 2020 to most promising women entrepreneurs in Zambia and nine other African countries.

A-US-based Non-Governmental Organization, Women’s Initiative that Strengthen and Empower (WISE) has set aside 150 secondary school scholarships to underprivileged people in Kaoma District of Western Province in Zambia.WISE Board Member Joanne Bollinger says the scholarship programme will provide continuous access to education from 8th grade through college. She says her organization is in receipt of numerous applicants needing scholarships.

Zambia is commonly regarded as one of the most beautiful, friendly, diverse and unspoiled countries on the entire African continent.

Washington D.C., Wednesday, 1 April 2020 – The United States is providing Zambia $1.87 million in immediate health assistance, funding which will augment Government interventions against the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding is a huge boost to the country’s COVID-19 response and will scale up programs and projects in risk communication, water and sanitation, infection prevention and control and public health messaging.

Washington D.C., Saturday, 24 October 2020 — The United States Government has joined in celebrating Zambia’s 56 years of independence with Secretary of State Michael Pompeo sending his country’s best wishes to the peace loving southern African nation.

The Luangwa River is one of southern Africa’s major life forces, meandering some 500 miles through Zambia before spilling into the great Zambezi. It is a river that changes course with ease, leaving a trail of oxbow lakes and watering holes across a wilderness now known as South Luangwa National Park.

Zambia’s Ambassador to the U.S. His Excellency Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula, S.C. says Zambia’s tourism sector has potential to contribute greatly to the growth of the country’s economy. Dr. Simbyakula, says there is need, therefore, for Zambia to have its presence at key tourism promotional events in the United States.
