WASHINGTON DC- Tuesday May 30th, 2017-The Zambian Embassy in Washington D.C has refuted online media reports suggesting that United States President, Donald Trump has signed an executive order to allow all Zambian nationals travel to the United States without visas.
Zambia’s Charge´ D’Affaires to the USA Joseph Chilaizya says the Department of State in Washington DC has not communicated such information the Zambian Embassy.

Washington D.C,. Saturday, 25 September 2021 – President Hakainde Hichilema received euphoric applause and commendation Saturday night as he declared the Zambian Diaspora Community the country’s 11th province noting that Government appreciated their contribution to the country.

Director General of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (ITSO), Mr. Patrick Masambu paid a courtesy call on HE Ambassador Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula at the Embassy on Wednesday April 24th,2019. Mr. Masambu briefed Dr. Simbyakula about the functions of ITSO and upcoming events.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia Is requesting Zambian nationals who are in the United States for a short visit or studies and are non-permanent residents but have had flights rescheduled or cancelled owing to the evolving COVID-19 situation to submit their names to the Embassy of Zambia in Washington D.C., with passport details, address and contact phone number in the United States. This information will assist in making repatriation arrangements back to Zambia.

May 7, 2014 - The Mission participated in Passport DC “Around the World” Embassy Tour on the 3rd of May 2014. Passport DC is an annual celebration of international cultures organised by Cultural Tourism DC. It showcases Washington DC’s embassies and cultural organizations with tours of more than seventy (70) embassies and numerous events which include street festivals, performances and exhibitions.

The embassy is limiting the number of in-person interviews for passport renewals, visa applications and related matters to less than five clients per day. Visa applicants are encouraged to submit their applications by postage mail.
