WASHINGTON, D.C., May 17th, 2023 – The Embassy of Zambia in Washington DC hosted the Bridge Consortium Limited and Charter Cities Institute at the Embassy where the two signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the two institutions to work together in creating the legal, regulatory and planning framework, getting investors and technical expertise required to develop a “new city” within Mwinilunga District in North-Western Province.

Washington D.C., Friday, 18 September 2020 — Congressman Robert Pittenger has hailed the good friendship between the United States and Zambia, a bond he described as based on shared values and goals between the two countries.

United States congratulates Zambia for upholding democracy

A-US-based Non-Governmental Organization, Women’s Initiative that Strengthen and Empower (WISE) has set aside 150 secondary school scholarships to underprivileged people in Kaoma District of Western Province in Zambia.WISE Board Member Joanne Bollinger says the scholarship programme will provide continuous access to education from 8th grade through college. She says her organization is in receipt of numerous applicants needing scholarships.

Government has set aside US$ 20 million to implement the mortgage finance program for rehabilitation, construction and purchase of properties in various Zambian Missions abroad.
