Washington D.C., Monday, July 27, 2020 — Zambia’s Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Lazarous Kapambwe says Zambians in the diaspora play a pivotal role in supporting their families and communities adding that the spirit of togetherness and supporting projects of common interest to Zambia could enhance their contribution to the country’s development.

Washington D.C., Thursday, June 25, 2020 — The World Bank Group (WBG) says Zambia has made significant strides to transform its economy through use of technology and that the application of various digital platforms in national economic governance had set the country on a path to attaining its economic goals as set out in Vision 2030.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia Is requesting Zambian nationals who are in the United States for a short visit or studies and are non-permanent residents but have had flights rescheduled or cancelled owing to the evolving COVID-19 situation to submit their names to the Embassy of Zambia in Washington D.C., with passport details, address and contact phone number in the United States. This information will assist in making repatriation arrangements back to Zambia.

The partial closure of the embassy has been extended to 30 April 2020. The issuance of visas has been suspended and anyone seeking a visa for travel deemed to be essential should submit their application to the Lusaka immigration authorities, with justification, for consideration...
